U.S. Navy Lt. Manuel Querido shows an Afghan man how to use a rechargeable radio during a medical civic action mission in the Helmand province of Afghanistan on Sept. 1, 2009. Querido is a chaplain attached to Headquarters Battery, 3rd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment. The 3rd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment is deployed with Regimental Combat Team 3 to conduct counterinsurgency operations in partnership with Afghan National Security Forces in southern Afghanistan.
