U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Joseph Giardino and 1st Lt. Jason Loucks, both with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, go over their patrol route during a security patrol through the Nawa district of Helmand province, Afghanistan, on Oct. 14, 2009.
