U.S. Marines with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, deployed aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), perform combat marksmanship shooting exercises on the flight deck while the ship is underway in the Caribbean Sea on Dec. 1, 2009. The Wasp is deployed on Amphibious–Southern Partnership Station 2009 with Destroyer Squadron 40 and embarked Security Cooperation Marine Air-Ground Task Force. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
