U.S. Marines from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit embarked aboard the USS Bataan (LHD 5) unload bottled water from a CH-53E Sea Stallion helicopter to distribute to the Haitian population in Leogane, Haiti, on Jan. 20, 2010. The Bataan, along with amphibious dock landing ships USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43), USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) and USS Carter Hall (LSD 50), are providing military support capabilities to civil authorities in the wake of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti on Jan. 12, 2010.
