Haitian earthquake patients are transported onto a U.S. Air Force C-130 Hercules aircraft from the 908th Airlift Wing, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., by airmen from the 45th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, McDill Air Force Base, Fla., at Toussaint L’Ouverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, during Operation Unified Response on Jan. 25, 2010. Twenty-seven patients are being medically evacuated to Miami International Airport in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. U.S. Department of Defense assets have been deployed to assist in the Haiti relief effort following a magnitude-7.0 earthquake that hit the city on Jan. 12, 2010.
