U.S. Army Spc. Michael Gaskins, of the Parwan Provincial Reconstruction Team security element, provides security for the team's engineers in the Parwan province of Afghanistan on May 15, 2010. The engineers assessed culverts, power poles and bridges, which are considered critical structures.
