Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey Jr. and Sgt. Maj. of the Army Kenneth O. Preston lay a wreath at former Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. George H. Decker's gravesite on the morning of the Army's 235th Birthday at Arlington National Cemetery, Va., on June 14, 2010. Decker was appointed Vice Chief of Staff of the Army in 1959 and on October 1, 1960 became Chief of Staff of the Army, serving in that capacity until September 30, 1962.
