Christopher Kleven (right), with the 1st Battalion, 188th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, pass sandbags to a North Dakota National Guard quick response force team near Kindred, N.D., on April 14, 2011. The quick response force is comprised of soldiers and airmen, which responded to a request from a farm resident living along the Sheyenne River for sandbag assistance to create a flood levee to rising water around his house. More than 500 N.D. National Guard airmen and soldiers conducted flood operations in North Dakota, with the vast majority in Cass County.
