A landing signal enlisted assigned to the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) guides an MV-22B Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 (Reinforced), 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, onto the flight deck underway in the Mediterranean Sea on May 16, 2011. The Bataan is the command ship of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and is conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
