A CH-47 Chinook helicopter from the Illinois Army National Guard hooks on to two large sandbags that will be delivered to residents living along the flooded Missouri River in Iowa on June 8, 2011. Additionally four UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from the Minnesota and Iowa National Guard delivered sandbags to many other of the critical areas along the river. Over 400 National Guard members were activated to provide support to communities along the Missouri River in danger of flooding.
