Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyrif Wells, assigned to Navy Mobile Construction Battalion 23 embarked aboard High Speed Vessel (HSV 2) Swift, and Peruvian combat engineers install a new roof at an elementary school in Callao, Peru, on Jan. 27, 2010. Navy Mobile Construction Battalion 23 and U.S. Marines are working with engineers from Base Naval De Callao and Infanteria De Marina Ancon as part of Southern Partnership Station 2012. The Seabees and engineers will spend three weeks refurbishing schools in the area. Southern Partnership Station is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
