The Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade, Europe's rapid-reaction force, conducted a mission rehearsal exercise at the readiness center in preparation for an upcoming deployment to Afghanistan. The exercise was designed to develop combat skills, counterinsurgency tactics and multinational partnerships between the military forces of the U.S., Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.
