Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter visits with Guam Governor Eddie Baza Calvo, and Guam Rep. Madeleine Bordallo, on July 19, 2012. Carter is also scheduled to meet with other Guamian leaders, tour U.S. military facilities, and discuss progress on new military construction. The deputy secretary's stop in Guam is in the midst of a 10-day Asia-Pacific trip meeting partners in Japan, Thailand, India and South Korea.
