Women serving in the Afghan National Police wait to be recognized during the Ministry of the Interior International Women’s Day celebration in Kabul, Afghanistan, March 13, 2016. The women were among the 389 graduates of Basic Police Officer Training in Sivas, Turkey. During the course women learned weapons handling, driver's training, first aid, ethics and values, basic rights of women victims, effects of crimes on victims, traffic policing computer operations, self-defense and other training related to being a policewoman in Afghanistan.
