Center Hill Dam Barrier Wall Completed
A construction crew places the last concrete into the Center Hill Dam embankment near Smithville, Tenn., March 17, 2015, signifying the completion of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District’s remediation project. Enough concrete was placed into the embankment to build a four-foot wide sidewalk 200 miles long, or about the distance between Nashville and Knoxville, Tenn. The Center Hill Dam project was one of four programs to receive a Value Engineering Award from the Defense Department June 28. Army photo by Lee Roberts
