Deflating a Control System
Louisiana Army National Guard Sgt. Christopher Storer learns how to deflate the Tiger Dam flood control system during a disaster response exercise in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, April 1, 2017. Storer is a heavy equipment operator assigned to the Louisiana Army National Guard’s 2225th Multi-Role Bridge Company, 225th Engineer Brigade. The exercise provides National Guard units with the opportunity to improve on cooperation and relationships with not only local and state agencies, but also military and federal partners for emergencies and catastrophic events.
