On June 1, the U.S. Department of Agriculture kicked off the 9th annual governmentwide Feds Feed Families food drive campaign. The campaign will run through Aug. 31. The 2017 FFF slogan is "Feds Unite Against Hunger." Defense Department employees nationwide have been asked to answer the call to fight hunger. We ask you to step up to meet this challenge. Together we CAN fight hunger; donate what you CAN to help! Every contribution, big and small, will make a difference in the lives of those in need!
The Feds Feed Families campaign is in full swing. The campaign officially began June 1 and will run through Aug. 31. Last year, we "beat our best" in the Defense Department by donating more than 3.2 million pounds to local food banks and charities to feed individuals who are food insecure. Let's continue this effort and strive for another record-breaking year! Let’s do better than our best!
Every contribution, big and small, will make a difference! This year's campaign theme is "Feds Unite Against Hunger," and with your support we can work together to fight hunger and fill food banks during the summer months, when they face severe shortages of nonperishable goods.
Defense Department military and civilian members participated in a worldwide campaign that resulted in the donation of nearly 3.3 million pounds of perishable and nonperishable food to fill local food banks that provide food for families in need. Story

It is easier than ever to provide food to the people at risk of hunger through online donations!
Food may be purchased online at Costco, Safeway, Peapod, or Amazon (or any other online retailer of choice) and delivered directly to your food bank of choice, such as the Capital Area Food Bank or a local food bank/pantry.
When asked where you want your donation delivered, provide the address to the food bank of your choice (see example below). Additionally, your national capitol food bank is listed below if you would like to donate to that location.
*Make sure you tell your FFF POC representative what you’ve donated!
*After donating online, please don’t forget to report the total pounds of food you donated to your agency/component FFF POC (if you print and post this flyer- insert your name and email address here) so your donation can be added to your agency/component totals and reported to the DoD FFF team at:
